The smell of salt air, the rhythm of breakers hitting the sand then swishing in retreat, the cry of gulls... These are the things I go to the beach for and never tire of. I love the ocean in all its moods. The immenseness and constancy put things in perspective.
But then there's another side to this coin. The smell of salt air mixed with cotton candy, hot dogs, funnel cakes and vinegar-soaked French fries and the raucous cries of gulls trying to snatch them, while in the background are happy cries of excitement and joy from visitors of all ages jumping in and lounging around the sometimes chilly Delaware waves.
I give you Zenith, which could be each of the above scenarios. You decide. Put yourself in the painting. And enjoy.
